Since the beginning of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, which has resulted in massive displacement, forced migration, and the loss of homes and residences for the population, Munich Helps Ukraine e.V. has been tirelessly working to provide aid to Ukraine. The consequences of the war affect millions of people, especially children, families, and vulnerable individuals who urgently need support. Our aid is targeted in the hardest-hit regions of Ukraine to address the care and protection of people to ensure their safety. Women are considered particularly vulnerable, which is why we are taking targeted measures for them and their families. The current situation is a catastrophe and one of the greatest crises of our time, with the survival of many people at stake. The consequences of the war of aggression, the destruction of infrastructure, and the challenges of flight and displacement necessitate rapid and coordinated aid.
Our organization in Munich regularly collects in-kind donations to support families and children in Ukraine. Our aid measures include providing medical equipment, medications, outpatient clinics, a generator, food, water, clothing as well as other vital supplies for hospitals, orphanages, care facilities, and families in need. We distribute hot meals and clothing to those requiring assistance to ensure their health, protection, and dignity. Supporting facilities such as emergency shelters and medical centers is a central component of our work. We work closely with partners in Ukraine to provide for and support refugees and displaced persons. Cooperation with businesses and initiatives enables us to provide resources and logistics efficiently. Registered aid organizations (e.V.) play a crucial role in coordinating aid, both in Ukraine and in other countries. Our initiatives, and each individual initiative, are designed to coordinate aid as effectively as possible and to address the challenges of the crisis.
